XiteBio welcomes Cassandra Hammond and Kyle Elyk to its IRD team

Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
May 7, 2018

XiteBio is pleased to announce the addition of Cassandra Hammond and Kyle Elyk as the newest members to their Innovation, Research & Development (IRD) team. Cassandra joined the team as a Research Associate and Kyle joined as a Lab Technician. Both of them work out of XiteBio’s IRD Centre in Winnipeg.

Cassandra recently completed her M.Sc. in plant biotechnology at the University of Manitoba and has previously been employed by the University of Manitoba, Bayer Crop Science and Dupont Pioneer. Her combination of research skills and agronomic knowledge makes her an asset for Xitebio’s effort to ongoing new product development and product enhancement. Kyle has a Bachelors degree from the University of Manitoba in biological sciences and has previously been employed by Monsanto Canada and the University of Manitoba. His skill set in agriculture research serve to strengthen upcoming research projects as well as the day to day operations of the IRD lab.

“Cassandra’s background in agriculture, especially in plant physiological research make her a valuable asset on key product development projects as we work to enhance our product portfolio in biofertility and biocontrol aspects”, says Dr. Manas Banerjee, CEO of XiteBio. “Kyle’s enthusiasm and previous involvement in crop research would definitely enhance the capabilities of our newly expanded laboratory and growth room” says Bill Busby, XiteBio’s Sales Manager.

“Cassandra and Kyle both share a passion for agriculture that brings new excitement and adds to the critical mass of XiteBio’s IRD team” adds Dr. Banerjee. They will be working closely with the rest of the XiteBio team members as they integrate themselves into their new roles. Please join us in wishing Cassandra and Kyle every success in their new roles at XiteBio.
