Ziller is now part of NorthStar. Effective June 1, 2010, Ziller Seed soybean seed will be marketed under the NorthStar Genetics brand, and distributed by Ziller’s existing 75 seed dealers. This is the final step in NorthStar Genetics’ acquisition of Ziller Seed assets. In 2007, NorthStar Genetics purchased the assets and has been integrating Ziller’s soybean seed offerings with NorthStar’s soybean and seed corn lines.

“Integrating Ziller has already helped us continue offering quality, yield-performing seed at reasonable prices from knowledgeable dealers,” says Dan Hogstad, President, NorthStar Genetics. “Ziller’s dealers also have expertise, reliability and offer quick response to their customers. This move just makes it simpler with the NorthStar name on all products. All Ziller dealers will continue to carry those seed offerings, and now join NorthStar dealers in selling NorthStar brand seed corn.”
