Accelerating drought tolerance discovery

The Netherlands
June 20, 2014

Following repeated developmental requests from its customers around the world, Phenospex announces a 2nd-generation application-specific platform – DroughtSpotter, the first commercial platform to accelerate discovery of dry-tolerant plant genotypes or drought protecting agents.

With DroughtSpotter you can design and control precise drought stress experiments and monitor leaf transpiration at high-throughput in climate chambers, greenhouses and the field.

DroughtSpotter allows seamless integration with local environmental data such as PAR, RH, temperature and configurations also include ability to annotate plant height, total + individual leaf area, projected leaf area, leaf coverage, leaf angles, leaf/plant count.

An economical alternative to discerning and accelerating valuable agronomic traits in major crops such as maize, wheat, soy bean and rice.
