Syngenta Flowers' lavandula Vintro: "The perfect series for sales in May"

May 8, 2024

Our Lavandula Angustifolia Vintro series is known for their cold tollerance. Two growers tell more about their experience with Vintro.

Fabio Mantica

Fabio Mantica from Mantica, Albenga (Italy)

"Mantica company converted to horticulture in the 1990s. On 5 hectares, we produce daisies and cyclamen in the greenhouse, and herbs and lavender in the field. We have tested the Vintro series. Vintro Blue is very
reliable, uniform with a good proportion between plant, spike and stem and many dark blue flowers. We found Compact Iris, Vintro Compact Blue, and Vintro Bee Blue equally interesting for compactness, spike colour and flowering period. A special mention for Vintro Pearl, the first true short-stemmed "white".

Benjamin Brockmeyer

Benjamin Brockmeyer from Gartenbaubetrieb Brockmeyer, Glandorf (Germany)

"For more than 50 years, we have been producing flowers in Glandorf, Lower Saxony, for the wholesale trade and for our own retail sales. Lavender has long been an integral part of our assortment and is in demand throughout the summer. For the first flowering lavender of the year, in particular good, robust quality is important. The new Vintro series convinced us with its insensitivity during winter and its early flowering.
The short flower stems above dark green, strong foliage are convincing! The perfect series for sales in May."
