Are you seeing what we’re seeing? With two-thirds of the soybean season already in the rearview mirror, BASF representatives and Agronomists on the Grow Smart™ Live app are observing strong performance from their showcase plots.
Showcase plots from Northwest Ohio to Manhattan, Kansas to Bowling Green, Kentucky are showing taller, healthier soybeans thanks to expertly applied best practices and BASF Plant Health products that help get more yield out of each acre and more profitability out of the entire crop.
“In the Black Swamp of Northwest Ohio, we deal with a lot of early Septoria Brown Spot in soybeans but not when Priaxor Xemium Brand Fungicide is tank mixed with the Liberty Herbicide pass 4-5 weeks after planting,” said Don Schneider, Business Representative at BASF. “No early yellow leaf drop on the bottom nodes and a weed-free soybean field.”
What can farmers expect as they approach the finish line this season? According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) 60-day National Outlook, both precipitation and temperature are expected to be on their side. The Soybean Belt is forecast to have a 61% chance of being warmer than the historical average of 72.1oF, while the expected precipitation will be near the historical average of 3.14”.
