Southern farmer Tim Overy (E I Overy & Sons) has grown KWS Basset for 2 years and this year the crop won him first place in the East Kent Ploughing Match Crop Competition. Tim had this to say: “Not only a great looking crop it also delivered where it counts. I was very impressed with its yield and grain quality, especially considering the growing season. Having grown the variety as both a first and second wheat I am confident in the variety and will be drilling again this autumn as the largest single variety on the farm”.
