Beyond the seed: Stine Seed President Myron Stine speaks at the World Food Prize DialogueNEXT

Adel, Iowa, USA
April 2025

At Stine® Seed Company, we believe our responsibility to agriculture doesn’t stop at delivering high-performance genetics. It extends to improving food security, supporting farmers of all sizes, and investing in innovation that sustains our industry and world.

That was Stine President Myron Stine’s message during his keynote remarks at the World Food Prize Foundation’s DialogueNEXT event, held last month in Washington, D.C.

“Our goal at Stine has always been to provide solutions that help farmers succeed while contributing to the larger goal of feeding and fueling the world.”

Myron Stine, Stine Seed Company president

With more than 250 leaders from agriculture, government, nongovernmental organizations and the private sector in attendance, DialogueNEXT focused on advancing agricultural innovation for global food security. Stine joined a lineup of thought leaders committed to addressing the world’s growing hunger crisis through collaboration, research and development.

He shared how decades of Stine’s commitment to innovation — particularly in soybean genetics, short-stature corn and precision ag tools — play a role in increasing yield potential, improving sustainability and empowering growers of all sizes.

Stine also highlighted the importance of making cutting-edge technology more accessible, especially in underserved and emerging markets, noting that these advancements are only valuable if they reach those who need them. Stine is actively working to ensure its genetics and tools can be leveraged not only by large-scale producers but also by smallholder farmers around the globe.

In closing, Stine left attendees with a call to action: to support agricultural research, invest in accessibility and drive policy that empowers farmers everywhere.

DialogueNEXT is designed to shape the future of food systems by bringing together voices across sectors to inspire action, collaboration and policy change. To learn more about the summit and the World Food Prize Foundation’s mission, visit WorldFoodPrize.org/dialoguenext.
