Sustainability efforts discussed in latest ‘Focus on Soybean’ talk

St. Paul, Minnesota, USA
August 2, 2013

The producer-driven National Sustainable Soybean Initiative (NSSI) is a very visible and important effort in the soybean industry.

In the latest ‘Focus on Soybean’ presentation, titled “The NSSI: How Soy Sustainability Can Help You Meet Your Customers’ Demands and Expand Your Markets”, Dr. Shawn Conley, Associate Professor of Agronomy and Soybean Extension Specialist at the University of Wisconsin helps U.S. growers, ag professionals, consumers, and multi-national companies and NGO’s understand this important initiative.

Specifically in this presentation, participants will be introduced to NSSI’s mission and efforts, which will operate at the farm level, incorporate a framework of tools and technical information from a wide base of expertise and programs, and, with the support of regional and national experts, communicate sustainable soybean management systems.

This 15-minute presentation is open access through October 31, 2013. Viewers can also opt to see a 5-minute executive summary version of this presentation. This shorter executive summary version is permanently open access courtesy of the United Soybean Board.
