As we approach harvest season, we take a moment to appreciate Faro Farming’s beautiful PAN 5R-590R yellow maize near Ongeluksnek, Matatielie. Pictured here is Nelly Mahlomola-Faro, and her smile says it all – she’s ready for a fruitful season, just like many farmers across the country preparing to harvest the results of months of hard work. 

The PAN 5R-590R yellow maize hybrids are widely adapted with stable performance across all production areas. These hybrids have excellent early vigour and good standability. It’s a very healthy plant with good general disease tolerance and also shows reasonable prolificacy at low plant populations. PAN 5P-990PW (the PowerCore™ technology version) provides broad-spectrum protection against above-ground lepidopteran pests, stacked with glyphosate herbicide-tolerant technology for premium insect and weed control.
