Ensuring that all activities within your area of responsibility are carried out in compliance with BASF Regulations, the site Responsible Care Management System, and all relevant State and Federal regulations, thereby maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

Monitoring and analyzing plant and process performance, asset effectiveness, and quality data to identify and implement corrective and preventive actions and improvement opportunities, which enhances operational efficiency.

Contributing to the development of department budgets through the estimation of raw material and utility costs, enabling informed financial planning and resource allocation.

Providing technical support and direction to the Shift Supervisors and operators in the resolution of plant problems, while also coaching and training junior Production Engineers to foster skill development and operational excellence.

Coordinating, supporting, and implementing Process Safety Management (PSM) and Environmental regulatory requirements within your area of responsibility, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and environmental standards.

Composing and submitting environmental and other regulatory reports as required, facilitating transparent communication with regulatory bodies and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

Creating, reviewing, and updating operations documentation, and implementing training for the operations team when technical changes are required, ensuring that staff is knowledgeable and equipped to perform effectively.

Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemistry, this qualification will provide you with essential theoretical knowledge and technical skills for a career in the chemical industry.

Have 7 years’ experience in chemical manufacturing or process development, you will bring valuable hands-on expertise that enhances your capability to manage projects and solve complex engineering challenges.

Have knowledge of the chemical industry and OSHA safety, health, and environmental laws, regulations, and standards (including PSM – Process Safety Management), you will be well-prepared to ensure compliance and implement effective safety measures in the workplace.
