As a Senior Account Manager you will develop, plan and execute the sales initiatives towards the strategic accounts aiming to start, maintain and increase business over the years. You will also build up a long-term relationship with international or national customers in line with the Marketing and Sales (M&S) strategy and within BASF Vegetable Seeds to realize profitability and partnership.
This is a remote role. Ideal candidate should reside in the Coastal California/Salinas, California area.
As a Sr. Account Manager, You Create Chemistry By...
- Plan, review, adapt and execute the annual sales plan for the selected key accounts. Customer Plan, sales targets, key performance indicators, and crop marketing plan to contribute to crop annual Basic Plan
- Represent the company and introduce value-based proposals according to the needs of the Key customer while building longing term partnership and generate sustainable sales.
- Manage connections customers have with Top retailers in the region
- Manage customer teams to provide solutions to customers’ needs/challenges, improve customer facing processes, create and share information, and overcome objections with the result of enhancing the customer experience with Nunhems
- Provide market, price, product, grower, and consumer insight to contribute to the formulation of the vision and strategy plans for the crop.
If you...
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5-8 years of agriculture sales experience
- Project management experience preferred
- Well-rounded knowledge of vegetable seed business
- Strong agronomic skills
- Advanced consultative selling skills, including negotiation and closing sales plan
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit combined with a good ability to influence decisions of people with different backgrounds and in various functions
- Strong connection/knowledge of Top Retailers in USA

Pay Transparency
BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive base Pay Range for this role is $88,800 - $122,210. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
