LA-H brushing machine

The LA-H brushing machine for laboratory use is designed for batch and continuous flow polishing, hulling or scarifying of small volumes of seed or grain samples prior to cleaning and grading

The LA-H can be used for loosening and removal of beards, husks, straw etc. before cleaning. It can also divide dried spices, split double grains and be used for polishing work.

Continuous separation capacity is up to 200 kg per hour on wheat.

In standard construction, the LA-H machines are delivered with:

  • with feeding tray, aspiration tube and integrated dust suction unit
  • motors for 1 x 240 V, 50 Hz; main shaft motor is 550 W and dust suction motor is 1050 W
  • collecting bins for both outlets and mounted on a convenient worktable

LA-LS air/screen cleaner

The LA-LS air/screen cleaner is a precision and fine cleaner for laboratory use as well as for small scale production in research stations, institutes etc.

The LA-LS can be used for batch and continuous flow separation and is very well suited for preparation of all seed types such as vegetable seed, grain, oil seed, grass seed, clover seed etc. as well as for flower seed and spices.

Continuous cleaning capacity is up to 150 kg per hour on wheat.

In standard construction, the LA-LS machines are delivered with:

  • inlet hopper and vibratory feeder with start/stop and potentiometer
  • pre-aspiration and final aspiration as well as air recirculation system with built-in fan and dust suction unit
  • eccentric shaft fitted with tachometer with digital readout of the rpm
  • screen system consisting of one sieveboat with 1 short scalping screen 275x275 mm and 2 long grading/-sand screens 275x540 mm which gives a total screen area of 0.34 m2
  • the long screens are rubber ball cleaned
  • speed drive with frequency converter and digital readout
  • collecting bins for waste and prime product and mounted on a convenient work-table

Motors are for 1 x 240 V, 50 Hz; fan motor is 0.75 KW, drive motor 0.37 KW with frequency converter, and 0.05 KW for vibratory feeder.

The machine is of steel construction with sieveboats of laminated wood.

LA-T indented cylinder

The LA-T indented cylinder for laboratory use is designed for continuous flow (or batch) separation where kernels with different lengths but otherwise similar dimensions can be separated from each other

Short kernels are separated from long ones, broken kernels from whole ones, and also round seeds from oblong ones.

In standard construction, the LA-T machines are delivered with:

  • inlet hopper and vibratory feeder with start/stop and potentiometer
  • speed regulation of the cylinder
  • exchangeable mantle
  • collecting bins and mounted on a convenient worktable

LA-K gravity separator

The LA-K gravity separator for laboratory use is designed for batch and continuous flow separation of small volumes of seed or grain, which have already been separated with regard to width, length, and thickness

The gravity separator exploits the smallest differences in the specific weight of the product and it is therefore possible to separate heavy kernels with high germination ability from light and less valuable kernels.

The gravity separator can also be used in laboratories for recycling or in chemical factories.

Continuous separation capacity is up to 100 kg per hour on wheat.

In standard construction, the LA-K machines are delivered with:

  • inlet hopper and vibratory feeder with start/stop and potentiometer
  • eccentric shaft fitted with tachometer with digital readout of the rpm
  • oscillating exchangeable grading deck has a surface of 1570 cm2
  • adjustable stroke length, speed, air volume, and deck inclination
  • collecting bins for 5 fractions and mounted on a convenient worktable

Motors are for 1 x 240 V, 50 Hz; fan motor is 0.75 KW, drive motor 0.37 KW with frequency converter, and motor for vibratory feeder is 0.05 KW.

The machine is of steel construction with the grading deck of laminated wood.

LA-P clipper/de-awner

The LA-P clipper/de-awner for laboratory use is designed for continuous flow (or batch) pre-treatment of various grain types; the purpose of the de-awning operation is to remove awns from barley kernels, loose husks from wheat, and to clip oat kernels

The clipper/de-awner can be used where heavy de-awning is required but also for products where only a light de-awning is needed as the degree of de-awning depends on the length of time the material stays in the de-awner housing.

First and foremost, the agitating scouring action of the LA-P takes place when the kernels rub against eachother being influenced by the rotating movements of the shaft. Secondly, this is achieved when the kernels touch the beaters.

In standard construction, the LA-P machines are delivered with:

  • inlet hopper and housing with adjustable inclination from 0° to a bigger inclination
  • housing with a rotor with steel beaters and spring loaded outlet valve with scale for regulation of the clipping degree
  • speed drive and motor
  • collecting bin and mounted on a convenient worktable

LA-S screen cleaner

The LA-S screen cleaner is a cleaner for laboratory use as well as for small scale production in research stations, institutes etc.

LA-VBS precision sizer

The LA-VBS precision sizer for laboratory use is designed for grain samples where the kernels are to be graded according to thickness

In standard construction, the LA-VBS machines are delivered With:

  • vibratory feeder with start/stop and potentiometer
  • screen section with one screen layer consisting of two grading screens
  • screen system is with quick-change device
  • variable spring inclination incl. tool for measuring the angle
  • two outlet chutes and end outlet
  • variable speed drive and motor with built-in frequency converter incl. start/stop and potentiometer for 1 x 240 V, 50 Hz.

LA-KS destoner

The LA-KS destoner for laboratory use is designed to perform a grading in two fractions according to specific weight. It can also be used in research institutes and laboratories but it is also suitable for small production plants

Furthermore, it can be placed in a production line after a gravity separator for treatment of the heavy fraction being discharged from this machine. The destoner will separate the stones from the heaviest fraction coming from the gravity separator.

In standard construction, the LA-KS machines are delivered with:

  • inlet hopper, adjustable stroke length, speed, air volume, and inclination lengthwise.
  • exchangeable grading deck with a surface of 0.17 m2
  • two collecting bins and mounted on a convenient worktable

LA-BG belt grader

The LA-BG belt grader for laboratory use is designed for separation of rough surface seeds from smooth surface seeds – e.g. vegetable seeds such as beet seeds and flower seeds such as primula and begonia seeds

In standard construction, the LA-BG machines are delivered with:

  • inlet hopper and vibratory feeder with start/stop and potentiometer
  • PVC-belt 600 mm wide with adjustable inclination via electrical actuator and with digital display
  • adjustable belt drive from 10-30 rpm and counter for rpm as well as gearmotor 0.25 KW for 1 x 240 V, 50 Hz which is frequency controlled

The machine is of steel construction.

LA-DUAL laboratory aspirator

The LA-DUAL laboratory aspirator is designed for separation of mixtures in two or three fractions according to the product's aerodynamic characteristics in an air stream

It is very well suited for laboratory use as well as for small scale production.

The aspirator can be delivered in two different configurations for batch or for continuous flow operation.

In standard construction, the LA-DUAL machines are delivered with the following features.

The machine is fitted with:

  • inlet hopper and vibratory feeder with start/stop and potentiometer
  • double aspiration chamber with manually operated distribution valve
  • integral fan with 0.27 KW, 240 V, 50 Hz, air filter, and dust container
  • Triac control for airflow regulation 
  • collecting bins for light and heavy fractions and mounted on a convenient work-table.

In construction for batch operation,the machine has closing valve below the aspiration chambers and manually operated air valve and false air valve.

In construction for continuous flow operation, the machine has larger inlet hopper and two rotary valves (each with a 6 W motor) in both aspiration chambers instead of closing valve.

The machine is of steel construction with a big plexiglass window on one side.

LA MINI and MAXI BLOWER

The LA MINI and MAXI BLOWER for laboratory use is a testing machine used for the classification of a sample according to the aerodynamic behaviour (floating speed) of the particles in an air stream

The sample is placed in a sample tray with fine mesh in the bottom

Air is blown through the mesh and continues up through the vertical separation pipe.

The sample is then divided into two fractions – one in the settling chamber and one in the sample tray (pure seed collection).

In standard construction, the Mini and Maxi Blowers are delivered with:

  • fan with motor; 110 W for Mini Blower and 270 W for Maxi Blower
  • sample tray with fine mesh in the bottom
  • transparent vertical separation pipe Ø 50 mm for Mini Blower and Ø 100 mm for Maxi Blower
  • pressure chamber with built-in fan and infinitely variable air regulation
  • start/stop button

The machine is complete with infinitely variable speed drive and motor.
