Nuseed announces acquisition of Lefroy Seeds Pty Ltd

Nuseed is pleased to announce the acquisition of Lefroy Seeds Pty Ltd and welcome the staff to Nuseed.

Lefroy Seeds specialises in hybrid breeding, production and commercialisation activities in sunflower and sorghum with facilities located in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia.

This acquisition further supports the Nuseed strategy of building strength in key crops, excelling in global partnerships, and creating output crop value. It adds to Nuseed's excellent position in the Australian canola market with market leading Roundup Ready, Triazine Tolerant and conventional breeding and varieties, a growing specialty oil business and exceptional partnerships in the Australian wheat market.

With the Nuseed business expanding Andy Thomas, will assume the role of Manager, Nuseed Australia.

Brent Whittaker, formerly the General Manager of Lefroy Seeds, will assume the role of Manager, Nuseed International Sales and Licensing.

Greg Buzza, Manager Nuseed R&D, will guide the breeding strategy, advancement process, and return on breeding investment criteria across all crops.

Greg, Brent and Andy will report to Brent Zacharias the recently appointed General Manager of Nufarm's Seeds interests globally.
