Arysta LifeScience adds three to marketing and sales teams

Cary, North Carolina, USA
January 22, 2018

Arysta LifeScience North America recently announced the addition of three new marketing and sales team members: Kathleen Seitzinger as Marketing Manager for U.S. Herbicides, Brian Ahrens as Key Account Manager and Emily Smith as BIO Territory Sales Manager.

Seitzinger came to Arysta LifeScience from DuPont Crop Protection, where she most recently was regional portfolio manager and also served in sales and customer service positions. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural economics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Seitzinger will focus on the EVEREST® and PRE-PARE® brands along with responsibilities for SUPREMACY®, AUDIT® and SHADOW® formulations.

“We’re looking forward to the experience and leadership that Kathleen will bring to the Arysta LifeScience business,” says Arturo Redes, Head of Marketing for North America. “Her marketing background and deep understanding of the crop protection market will be strong assets as we work towards growing our herbicide portfolio solutions for customers.”

On the sales side, Ahrens will work with the company’s retail/distribution customers, partnering to bring agronomic solutions to them and their farmer customers. He brings 23 years of experience in the agriculture industry and most recently was responsible for sales and business development at Marrone Bio Innovations. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural business with a major in marketing and sales from Iowa State University.

“Brian is well-respected in the industry and brings a track record of delivering customer solutions that will be extremely valuable to our channel partners,” said Jeff Wheeler, Head of Sales, United States.

Smith comes to Arysta LifeScience from Marrone Bio Innovations, where she was a technical sales manager. Her agronomic experience includes various agriculture businesses, vineyards and the University of California Cooperative Extension. She earned a Master of Science degree in plant science from California State University and a Bachelor of Science in wine and viticulture from Cal Poly.

“Emily is a great addition to the BIO team,” said Ed Hensley, BIO Sales and Technical Lead. “We know that customers will find great value in her knowledge and expertise of biological solutions in the California market.”
