Since 2008 Christopher Leonard (MBCS, Member of the British Computer Society) has been an important part of the Agronomix team, from basic support to web development; sales and service to accounts receivable. Christopher was the first voice-on-the-phone of Agronomix Software for several years and has spoken with many of our clients during his time with us. After completing a Business Analysis course with Villanova University, we relocated Christopher to Europe in 2013 for him to focus on our European, African and Indian markets.
In recognition of his service and input into the growth of Agronomix Software over the last 9 years Christopher has been promoted to the position of President. Dieter Mulitze, PhD, founder of Agronomix Software Inc., retains his role as CEO. “This is an exciting time in the seed industry and in Agronomix Software.” says Christopher “I have seen constant growth in the company during my time and the industry has changed at an impressive rate. Agronomix is proud to be the market leader in Plant Breeding Software Solutions and over the coming months we will eagerly show our clients what the future of Agronomix and AGROBASE will look like.” Our CEO, Dieter says “Christopher is the natural choice for President … we look forward to his leadership role at Agronomix.”
With the worldwide acceptance of cloud-based software solutions and consequently the incredible growth we have seen in sales and adaptation of AGROBASE Cloud®, our Software as a Service (SaaS) option, Christopher will provide strategic input in its ongoing business development and related client support. As the underlying technologies keep changing and our client-base continues to grow his role in our web development and our much-used Learning Centre, now with over 1,200 users worldwide (growing in numbers weekly) and more than 130 online tutorials, becomes even more important.
Our sales team will expand further in 2018 with Christopher overseeing the entire team as well as ensuring quality assurance and service for clients. While Christopher has been at the ASTA in Chicago the last few years, and will continue to do so, he will be at more trade shows in the future, and very much looks forward to meeting our users and prospective clients as well as hearing first-hand about new developments in the seed industry. While our CTO, James Blatta, oversees the IT team and product development, Christopher has already been giving direction on a major new release planned for 2018 given the continually evolving software technologies. Overall, Christopher has demonstrated a strong entrepreneurial capability, and as President he will be shaping the future strategy and growth of the company.
