Brazil
July 23, 2017
This year Hazera participated for the first time in Hortitec as an exhibitor. The importance of being present at the fair is mainly to promote the Hazera brand in Brazil. Until 2005 the company commercialized its products in the country only via distributors. In 2006 the own subsidiary was established, and with it, began the launch of new products. Since then the company has been growing and now, to further consolidate the brand, is present at Hortitec, the most important event in the national market of horticulture.

The balance of Hortitec was very positive. We had a large audience that exceeded our expectations. Many visitors interested, bringing in questions and suggestions. Many producers already knew our products and went to our booth to give us feedback, which was very nice for our entire team.
Among the varieties that we took to the fair, we highlight the tomatoes Maestrina and Royale and the Rio Grande onion, all launches. We also presented the Corumbá onion, which is a pre-launch and begins to be sold only in the next season (2018), but we already note that it is a variety with superior genetic characteristics, adding even more to our product line. The big success, however, is the mini watermelon, a segment in which we are leaders with seedless varieties. This year, once again innovating, we brought Mirella, a mini seed watermelon, to the fair.
Our work to develop new varieties is continuous and seeks to meet the market trends, both in terms of resistance to diseases and growing conditions, as well as the creation of innovative products and segments that meet the demands of the consumer market.
We thank everyone who honored us during the fair and look forward to the next edition that will take place on June 20-22, 2018.
