A.G.R Seeds licenses resistance gene marker for pepper from 2Blades Foundation

A.G.R. Seeds Ltd, Israel, has completed a non-exclusive license from 2Blades for access to the bs5 resistance gene from pepper.
The gene has been widely licensed by breeding companies for use as a marker in conventional breeding approaches for peppers.
The gene confers resistance to bacterial spot disease, one of the most devastating diseases of peppers grown in warm, moist environments.
