Gord Hounjet, ADAMA Canada’s new Area Business Manager for West Central Saskatchewan, comes with nearly four decades of experience

Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
September 14, 2016

ADAMA continues to grow its bench strength with new team members who bring impressive Ag industry experience — and Gord Hounjet is no exception.

With 38 years in the wholesale Ag business, Gord is ADAMA Canada’s new Area Business Manager for West Central Saskatchewan as Ginelle Pidwerbesky moves to a newly created territory in Central Alberta.

Born and raised on a farm, and having held sales positions at Niagara Chemicals, Oliver Chemicals, Wilbur Ellis and Univar Canada, Gord has a deep understanding of the industry.

“I love the variety. I’ve been in agriculture my entire life and no two years are the same.”

After many years of working with independent retailers, Gord also understands how frustrating all the programs have become for the independent retail. This is one of the reasons ADAMA’s mission of simplicity appealed to him.

Based in Saskatoon, Gord’s role will be to develop and manage sales and operations, as well as continue and develop his working relationships with retailers — some of whom he’s worked with for over three decades.

“I can’t say enough about the relationships that have been built over the years with retailers,” says Gord. “We have a level of trust and respect for one another that goes a long way.”

We know that Gord’s knowledge and experience will be an important asset to our team.
