Pakistan Seed Promotion Alliance to hold 2nd Pakistan Seed Congress November 21-22 in Faisalabad

EXCERPTS FROM THE CONGRESS BROCHURE

Pakistan Seed Promotion Alliance (formerly Pakistan Seed Academy) a unique
forum of bridging stakeholders from national, multinational seed companies,
public seed sectors and farmers associations under single umbrella is organizing
2nd Pakistan Seed Congress on November 21-22, 2016 at Faisalabad in
collaboration with University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Federal Seed Certification
& Registration Department, Seed Association of Pakistan and Crop Life Pakistan.
The theme of congress is “Seed Security for Sustainable Agriculture” which
focuses on the availability and access to adequate quantities of quality seed and
planting materials of crop varieties by farming community. Key players of public
and private seed sectors along with policy makers would help in discussing all
possible initiatives to improve seed security in the country at this forum.
PSPA is extremely proud to invite you to the 2nd Pakistan Seed Congress at UAF
on November 21-22, 2016. More than 1000 seed industry professionals, farmers,
faculty, students and foreign delegates are expected to gather to share their
expertise and knowledge for ensuring quality seed production in the country and
the globe. An exhibition to showcase seeds and seed conditioning, warehousing
and storage related equipments would be displayed during congress days.

WHO CAN REGISTER AS A PARTICIPANT?
Participation in Pakistan Seed Congress is not open to everyone. You can register if you are involved in seed business and research activities. Only limited students are allowed to attend this event.

WHO CAN REGISTER AS AN EXHIBITOR?
Public sector, national and international seed organizations are highly
encouraged to showcase their products and technologies. The number of exhibit
booths is limited and allocation of space will be done on a first-come, first served
basis. However, organizing committee will be responsible for the approval of
submissions. The cost of each stall having dimension of 3x3 m2 would be PKR
10,000. The last date to book a stall in the exhibition is November 01, 2016.

POSTER COMPETITION
People from public and private sectors including graduate students are highly
encouraged to participate in poster competition. The winners will be awarded
with prizes in the concluding ceremony of congress.
