Progeny Advanced Genetics recognizes Darryn Gibson’s contributions and commitment

Salinas, California, USA
January 13, 2016

Progeny Advanced Genetics commemorated an 18-year milestone achieved by respected employee Darryn Gibson.

During Mr. Gibson’s tenure with Progeny, the company has produced 18 PVPs, with 10 patents issued and 8 patents pending. Under Darryn’s management, Progeny has developed a strong product pipeline for the desert southwest region and a competitive series of tomato bushy stunt resistant romaine varieties, popular with growers in Salinas, California and Yuma, Arizona.

In 2015 Darryn Gibson was elected to Progeny’s Board of Directors and took on the added responsibility for expanding the company’s breeding program to South America, Europe and South Africa.

Darryn is currently working on the development of a patented hybrid lettuce seed production system.

The development of a hybrid lettuce seed production system promises to change lettuce seed production forever, and under Darryn’s management the program is scheduled to be commercially launched by the end of 2016.

Darryn Gibson was honored at Progeny’s headquarters in Salinas, California, where Josep Trias, the company’s CEO, recognized Darryn’s hard work, loyalty, commitment and significant contributions to the company.
