At ADAMA Canada, we’re on a mission to attract and retain the best in the industry. We want to align and partner with the highest quality local retails, and to earn their business, we need to make sure we have the highest quality people that they can rely on. That’s why ADAMA Canada is pleased to announce a promotion within its western business team as well as the addition of two new members to the team.
Buck Peters, the new Western Business Manager, was promoted from his position as Area Business Manager for West Central Saskatchewan. Peters, a four-year veteran with ADAMA, brings over 20 years of experience in the Ag sector to his new role. Buck will head ADAMA’s exceptional Area Business Managers in western Canada as they strive to deliver simple crop protection solutions and add value to ADAMA retailers and distributors.
The new additions include Darren Palendat as Portfolio Manager for Canada and Corey Thorsteinson as Area Business Manager for Eastern Manitoba.
As Portfolio Manager, Palendat will be responsible for managing the current ADAMA Canada product line, including all herbicides, fungicides and insecticides, but also leading the strategic direction of the future product pipeline. With two decades of professional sales, marketing, product management and leadership experience in crop protection, seed and the bio-tech sector, Palendat will contribute a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position.
Thorsteinson, based out of Winnipeg, will manage eastern Manitoba. With over 15 years of crop protection experience, this consummate professional will continue ADAMA’s mission to bring value and a strong business acumen to our retail partners.
“This announcement supports our growth and commitment to Canadian agriculture,” says Andrew Mann, Chief Executive Officer of ADAMA Canada. “All three are experienced and well-respected professionals and will be a tremendous addition to our team. ADAMA is moving forward deliberately and strategically, to be different and to provide an alternative business approach. Stacking our team with the best of the best is just one example of our long term direction.”
