GRDC's Ute Guides for a new era - testers needed

Australia
October 8, 2015

The popular Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) Ute Guide rollout into digital continues with a selection of new apps soon to be launched.

The new apps aim to improve the search function across Ute Guides, enable fast issues diagnosis and on-the-go access to technical information which is vital to decision making in the paddock, according to GRDC manager digital products and services Tom McCue.

“Digital resources are rapidly evolving to become one of the most valuable tools for the Australian grains industry. They are the way of the future, enabling growers to instantaneously access up-to-date technical information to assist in crop management decisions and improve productivity,” he said.

The apps are currently in a testing phase and the GRDC is now looking for growers and advisers to road-test the innovative new Ute Guide apps over the coming months to help shape up the finished product. Volunteers can select which Ute Guide app they would like to test, either herbicide injury, foliar diseases, winter crop nutrition (except cereals) or summer crop nutrition.

To express your interest in testing please contact Rachel Bowman, Seedbed Media or 0412 290 673.
