Hexima management changes

Hexima Limited (ASX: HXL), announced today that its Chief Executive Officer, Joshua Hofheimer, is completing his engagement effective 1 July 2010 and returning to North America. Mr Hofheimer will continue to serve as a non-executive Director of the Company from 1 July, and will be retained as a consultant to advise the Company on commercial transactions and engaging with North American investors and financial markets.
Hexima Chairman, Mr Steven Skala said “Josh was hired to help Hexima sharpen its focus on the North American commercial markets. During his tenure we have entered into agreements with multinational companies DuPont/Pioneer and Monsanto, which we announced today, have commissioned a significant new glasshouse, and built up contacts across the industry that will help us commercialise our science.
We appreciate Josh’s contribution as Chief Executive Officer and are grateful that he will continue to engage with the Company from North America, where he will provide a direct connection to US financial markets and to leading players in agribusiness.”
Speaking about the changes, Mr Hofheimer said, “I am deeply appreciative of the opportunity I have had with Hexima, and continue to be inspired by the quality of scientific achievement and output during my time as CEO. Going forwards, I am fully committed to working towards Hexima’s success and helping to build a valuable company, and will support Hexima however possible in the years to come.”
The Board has commenced a process for appointing a successor and in the interim Justine Heath, Hexima’s Chief Financial Officer, will assume the responsibilities of Chief Operating Officer. Professor Marilyn Anderson continues as the Chief Science Officer.
