Seed industry leader Royce Rottinghaus has joined AgVenture of Eastern Iowa as AgVenture Yield Specialist. Rottinghaus will apply his sales and agronomic leadership skills gained through more than two decades of professional and practical-applied farming experience as he serves AgVenture customers across East Central Iowa.
Robert Corzatt, Sales Team Lead for AgVenture of Eastern Iowa said, “Royce is a seed professional with a real passion for putting the farmer first. He has a very firm grasp on the seed industry, on genetics, traits and what it takes to advance growers’ yields and profitability to new levels. In just a short time with the company, he’s already firmly focused his efforts on partnering with growers toward these goals. His strong agronomic knowledge and ability to partner effectively with our growers has already made a difference this planting season. We look forward to extending the reach of our AgVenture® brand products across the area, and to deploying the methodology of our Maximum Profit System™ (MPS) across eastern Iowa.”
Rottinghaus said, “AgVenture’s ability to source genetics and technologies from multiple suppliers allows growers more opportunities to succeed. Beyond the access, our focus on placing the right product specifically in the right field conditions greatly enhances our growers’ opportunities to advance yield goals and profitability goals.”
Already, Rottinghaus has hosted the first of several planned AgVenture University programs in the area. He explained, “AgVenture University is an intensive workshop for growers that helps them understand and apply a series of tools and techniques through the company’s MPS program. Actively applying these practices helps deliver higher yields, lower cost per bushel and overall higher profitability across the farm.”
Rottinghaus also has a deep understanding of farming and finance. He was an ag lending specialist for six years prior to focusing on the seed business where he served in regional and district seed sales management roles. He is actively engaged in his own farming operation to this day. Rottinghaus lives outside La Porte City, Iowa with his wife, Brenda and their sons, Justin, age 13 and twin sons Nathan and Tyler, age 9. He is a graduate of Kirkwood Community College with degrees in Agrimarketing and Swine Management.
