AgVenture's summer conference focuses on customer profitability

Seed Company owners and AgVenture Yield Specialists from across the country attended AgVenture, Inc.’s summer conference held in Kansas City, Missouri last week. The annual event provided this network of independently owned and operated regional seed company owners and their staffs with educational professional improvement sessions, detailed product information updates, and the opportunity to share strategic insights.
AgVenture, Inc. Business Development Director, Chuck Schneider said, “We took a definitive look at our business strategy; why and how we are delivering on our goals to help our customers dramatically increase yields, lower cost per bushel and improve overall profitability. During the sales and leadership training conference, AgVenture staff members were joined by other seed industry colleagues to examine the latest in seed products and technology updates. Conference attendees had an in-depth session on current issues in the world agriculture economy and financial issues impacting row crop producers from John Deere Financial Services. Iowa State University’s Dr. Allison Robertson, plant pathologist and microbiologist, offered an educational presentation and discussion on economically important diseases in corn and soybeans. RSCs focused on biology of pathogens including Northern Corn Leaf Blight, and the disease cycle and environmental factors influencing pathogens’ presence and viability.

We each came away with some valuable insights to share with our customers. The agronomics presented and the economic information will be useful as we incorporate those updates with our approach. Together, this type of education helps us be effective as we implement the latest in seed selection and placement, fertility, precision ag and cutting-edge crop production management.”
