We are currently accepting applications for the remaining spots of the European Plant Breeding Academy(SM) Class 4, beginning in October 2015.
The UC Davis Plant Breeding Academy (PBA) is a premium professional certificate program designed to address the needs of plant breeders working in the private sector. The class is offered on a regular basis in the USA and Europe; with special offerings in Asia and Africa. To date, the PBA has been attended by 171 breeders, representing 44 countries, more than 80 organizations and numerous crops, coming from a variety of backgrounds (20% PhD, 26% MSc, 54% BSc or equivalent).
The UC Davis Plant Breeding Academy is a postgraduate course that teaches the fundamentals of plant breeding, genetics and statistics through lectures, discussions, and field trips to public and private breeding programs. Employers appreciate the opportunity to provide their valued employees advanced training without disrupting their full-time employment. Participants attend six 6-day sessions in six countries. The instructors are internationally recognized experts in plant breeding and seed technology.
