Three leading Dutch organizations with a vested interest in horticulture will be showcasing their innovations at the International Horticultural Exhibition in the Central Asian city of Almaty in Kazakhstan from 23 to 25 April. This is the 7th year the international exhibition is being held in Almaty, a city that was a bustling trade centre on the Silk Route during the Middle Ages.
 
The theme of the exhibition is ‘greenhouses, vegetable growing, storage and irrigation’ – something Koppert Biological Systems, DLV Plant-GreenQ grower support services, and automation solutions expert, Hoogendoorn Growth Management, know a good deal about. They will be present to share their knowledge of the Dutch agricultural and horticultural sectors with visitors of the exhibition. All three organizations promote sustainable and user-friendly horticultural solutions. They work closely with their customers and invest extensively in research and development.

According to the Kazakhstan Greenhouse Association, the republic, which is larger than Western Europe, is currently only able to provide 20% of the vegetables sold at its markets and supermarkets and needs to import the shortfall from China and Uzbekistan.
