Growers across Western Iowa are rapidly adopting a new set of tools, practices, genetics and technologies that combined, are rapidly advancing their profitability. “It’s AgVenture’s Maximum Profit System (MPS) that is truly changing the face of farming in Western Iowa.” That’s according to AgVenture of Western Iowa Sales Manager Mike Bieret. Based at Lake City, Iowa, he reports, “MPS has made a notable and positive difference for our growers, and it has helped our company grow at an exponential rate.”To accommodate the rapid adoption and acceptance of the MPS system across the area, we’re pleased to announce hiring two new employees to serve as AgVenture Yield Specialists (AYS).”
AgVenture of Western Iowa has hired Jessica Kragel as AYS to serve growers in the Denison, Iowa area, and Mitch Kennedy to serve growers in the Cumberland, Iowa area. Bieret said, “With the addition of Jessica and Mitch, AgVenture of Western Iowa now has seven Yield Specialists working directly with our growers to help them improve productivity and profitability on every acre.”
Jessica Kragel is a native of Schleswig, Iowa where she was raised on the family farm. She holds degrees in Agronomy and in Ag Studies from Iowa State University. Kragel has extensive internship experience. She worked for a local cooperative in agronomy and crop scouting and also has experience conducting side-by-side crop protection studies for Precision Laboratories. She and her fiancé will make their home near Schleswig following their wedding.
Kragel said, “I’m so pleased to be working with the growers in my home area. It is a great opportunity to expand this territory for AgVenture of Western Iowa while at the same time, deliver an amazing product line up to our community. This entire team is so focused on delivering better products that are best adapted to this area and backing it up with year-round service. I look forward to seeing the results in the bins and in the bank this fall.”
Mitch Kennedy also graduated from Iowa State University. He has worked in the seed and agronomy business gaining agronomic and management experience at cooperatives and with a regional seed company. Kennedy said, “I really look forward to working with each individual grower. I strongly feel each operation has its own set of opportunities and challenges. With the AgVenture products and especially with the Maximum Profit System, we are able to deliver more value for growers across the board. Your seed is an investment and we are here to help you maximize your returns.” Kennedy resides at Cumberland, Iowa.
AgVenture’s Maximum Profit System, a systematic approach toward dramatically increasing yield, lowering cost per bushel and improving profitability across the operation. Bieret noted, “Our growers are finding distinct economic and practical advantages to participation in MPS. With yields significantly higher and cost of production reduced, dramatic improvements in profitability are already a reality for our growers.”
Bieret noted that more than a hundred area growers have already participated in various aspects of the MPS program. He expects the numbers to continue to climb based on growers’ results achieved. “With the solid agronomic knowledge and deep understanding of the soils and crop environments in their areas, both Jessica and Mitch will readily advance our growers’ MPS goals.”
