J.R. Simplot President and CEO Bill Whitacre is a past president of ASTA and has spent more than 30 years in the agriculture industry. Whitacre will spend time exclusively with FuSE members for one-on-one conversations and networking. Don't miss this opportunity to interact after his keynote address to the entire ASTA membership. Purdue University Department of Agricultural Economics Associate Professor Mike Gunderson will share his thoughts on industry drivers and implications.
Friday, Dec. 12
9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Mini Educational Unit
Location: CME Group and Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences
Finish off a great week at CSS with FuSE at this mini educational unit showcasing events at the CME Group and the Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences. Start the day at the Chicago Board of Trade where CME Group Director of Client Development and Sales Richard Jelinek will discuss the importance and functionality of commodity market risk management and will allow time for questions. Participants will also have a chance to view the trading floor during active trading hours.
Next, travel to the Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences. The school was established in 1985 to give urban students talented in mathematics and science an opportunity to explore agriscience and agribusiness opportunities. FuSE members will visit the school during the science fair to interact with students who share a passion for agriculture and meet with FFA Advisor Sheila Fowler.
Transportation will be provided to and from the Hyatt Regency Chicago. There is no cost to attend, however space is limited. RSVP by contacting ASTA's Manager of Marketing and Member Outreach Tera Fair by Nov. 14.
