Joint Azotic Technologies and the University of Nottingham field trials generate positive results
United Kingdom

Azotic Technologies and the University of Nottingham have collaborated on the first batch of field trials which have generated very positive results.
The first batch of field trials on wheat, oilseed rape, pasture and amenity grass were carried out this summer and recently harvested. They have demonstrated that the inoculation of seed with N-Fix® prior to sowing leads to:
(i) successful colonisation by the nitrogen-fixing bacteria in each of the field grown crops and,
(ii) benefits to the plants at levels at least equivalent to between ¼ and ½ the recommended rates of N fertiliser treatments
These field results, based on measures of leaf chlorophyll and total leaf nitrogen content, and crop yield confirm laboratory findings that N-Fix® can be used as a substitute for a significant amount of Nitrogen fertiliser use.
