Mayberry Seed Co. grows, adds Yield Specialist Tommy Arteme

AgVenture Mayberry Seed Co. continues to grow. The company has today announced hiring of seed professional Tommy Arteme, a native of Benton, Missouri, as an AgVenture Yield Specialist. He will provide production and profitability support to growers in four Southern Illinois counties and will further expand the company’s reach to serve growers in four counties in Southeast Missouri.
AgVenture Mayberry Seed Co. General Manager, Larry Mayberry said, “Tommy brings our growers a real knowledge of the seed business and understanding of effective crop production practices. We’re pleased to have him join our team.”
Arteme stated, “Working with AgVenture allows me to put my experience to work on each customer’s farm. Most recently, Arteme served as a District Sales Manager with Legend Seed Company in DeSmet, South Dakota. Prior to that, he served growers in this area in seed and agri-input roles at Madison Service Company in Marine, IL, Royster Clark at New Baden, IL and at Bergmann Taylor at St. Jacob IL. He is a Certified Crop Advisor and a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University at Cape Girardeau. He and his wife, Michele will reside in Benton, MO until they find a home in southwestern Illinois.
AgVenture Mayberry Seed Co. serves growers across Southeast Missouri, Northeast Arkansas and Southern Illinois. Arteme is the fifth AgVenture Yield Specialist on staff. He’ll serve farmers in an area previously represented in part by seed veteran Gary Ridenour. Mayberry stated, “Hiring Tommy Arteme will help us extend the reach and scope that Gary brought area farmers. Together with Seed Agronomist Tim Temples, our Southern Illinois customers will appreciate the additional access to seed expertise we provide.”
