Australia - Dryland cotton crop success in hottest and driest summer on record
Australia
May 20, 2014
A dryland variety trial grown on the property "Yatta" just east of Bellata and Gurley has managed to produce yields of just over 1 bale/acre (2.55 b/ha) despite the hottest and driest summer on record.
The Sicot 74BRF also produced fibre quality with base length, micronaire and strength. Unfortunately rain before just before harvest downgraded the colour.
