The Colorado Association of Wheat Growers (CAWG) is pleased to announce that the recipients of the CAWG Scholarship and Friends of Wheat Scholarship are Brett Arnusch and Conner Blach.
Each scholarship is for $1,000.
Brett Arnusch of Keenesburg is the recipient of the CAWG Scholarship. He will graduate from Weld Central High School this spring, and will attend Northwestern Junior College and major in agriculture business.
Conner Blach of Yuma is the winner of the Friends of Wheat Scholarship. He will graduate from Yuma High School this spring and is planning to attend Colorado State University to major in Animal Science. The Friends of Wheat Scholarship honors, in memoriam, someone who has influenced agriculture, specifically wheat, in our state. The first honoree for the Friends of Wheat Scholarship was Patty Wickstrom of Orchard, Colorado. In the last few years CAWG has added six new honorees to the Friends of Wheat: Lorin Starkebaum, Cindy Seger, Gale Dunn, Larry Palser, Cassie Brooks, and David Heck.
CAWG is a voluntary membership association that lobbies on behalf of wheat growers at the state and national levels of government and provides special programs and benefits to dues paying members.
