AgriThority adds depth to seed technology expertise, expands global services

Kansas City, Missouri, USA
December 29, 2009

Recognized internationally as an expert in seed treatment technology, David Jackson has joined AgriThority LLC 40 years of crop development and protection experience to the team’s research capabilities and project management services. With the addition of Jackson, who is based in the U.K., AgriThority® now operates in the U.S., Europe, the Middle East, Latin America and Asia, providing the global agribusiness industry with independent field and clinical research, data development, crop system development, product development and technology transfer services. Besides his new activities with AgriThority, Jackson remains a principal with SeedTech Consulting, Ltd., where he will maintain relationships and fulfill responsibilities with his clients.

Jackson had a 35 year career with the Crop Protection Division of Chemtura Corporation (formerly Uniroyal Chemical) where he was responsible for the development of new seed treatments as well as the coordination of all technical support programs in the company’s global seed treatment business. Jackson was a member of the Seed Treatment & Environmental Committee (STEC) and represented Chemtura on industry working groups within the International Seed Federations (ISF) and European Seed Association (ESA) promoting the benefits of seed treatment.

“With his track record in global project management and team leadership, David Jackson enjoys an international reputation and the goodwill of industry influencers and major growers everywhere,” says Jerry Duff, AgriThority LLC managing member. “As the value of seed increases and the technology available for seed treatment becomes more sophisticated, his expertise allows AgriThority to provide clients around the world with crucial information and analysis to initiate seed and crop protection strategies in both mature and developing agricultural systems.”

Jackson graduated with honors from the University of Bradford in 1968. He holds a BTech degree in Applied Biology, majoring in Plant Pathology, and before embarking on his career with Chemtura (Uniroyal Chemical), he spent five years with Murphy Chemical Company.

Operating internationally, AgriThority™ serves companies in crop and animal agriculture, horticulture and allied industries by developing field and clinical data studies, best product use and management practices, product positioning and technical message development and delivery. The company also is an independent resource for the extension of product data, best management practices (BMPs) and other technically based information to farmer-producers, nutritionists, veterinarians, PCAs, crop consultants, farm managers and others who make high-value business decisions.
