Koppert invests in future researchers

The Netherlands
February 26, 2014

Koppert Biological Systems has entered into a partnership with Utrecht University.

The Utrecht Summer School offers an international public a broad and challenging range of courses every summer in various scientific disciplines.

For the subject of biology, Koppert is taking an active role in the course entitled 'Why we need bees'.

This year, Koppert is taking on some of the organizational tasks, for instance by taking the students to see examples in practice on Friday 1 August. In this way, Koppert shows a good balance between the science, the practical applications, and the needs and wishes of the client. The students learn how to create optimum pollination with various commercial pollinators (bumblebees, honeybees and flies).

Koppert invests a great deal in the development of natural concepts and solutions, and considers it important that future researchers be trained with this principle in mind. Through knowledge, training, and networks, Koppert is keen to work alongside Utrecht University in the future to further expand the course into the 'Pollination Academy'.
