Yellow rust has arrived in Leicestershire. Mild temperatures and susceptible crop varieties are encouraging the disease to flourish.

First fungicide applications need to be matched to the disease so consider Opus Team at T0, containing epoxiconazole and fenpropimorph to target disease in the crop. Epoxiconazole is rated by the HGCA as the best triazole for control of yellow rust (Information sheet 26 Winter 2013/14) matched with fenpropimorph it provides a very effective base for early disease control. Use 0.75 l/ha plus CTL for resistance management.
