The international horticultural sector has been enriched with an exclusive event: the Tomato Inspiration Event. The top 50 tomato growers in the world will meet on February 6th in Berlin to discuss the sales and marketing challenges in their profession. One of them will be elected to receive the first Tomato Inspiration Award 2014.
The Tomato Inspiration Event is an initiative of HortiBiz, the multimedia English-language platform for professional greenhouse growers around the world. HortiBiz joins forces with well known companies in the industry like Bayer CropScience, Cultilene, GreenQ/DLV Plant, Koppert Biological Systems, Nunhems, Priva, Revaho and Svensson. Every company took care of the personal invitation of the nominated best tomato growers in the world to attend the event in Berlin.
The tomato is worldwide the most important greenhouse crop. In the supply chain of this crop, innovation and entrepreneurship go hand in hand at a high level. The Tomato Inspiration Event brings together the international top performers from the production and supply sector with two aims. Firstly, to provide a platform where CEO’s from prominent companies can meet and inspire each other and raise the sector to an even higher level. Several international speakers will also make their appearance during the event. Secondly, to present the first Tomato Inspiration Award to the world’s best tomato grower. All nominated growers will be evaluated by a panel of experts on their performance in marketing and sales. The audience at the event will as well have an important vote to who the final winner will be.
The Tomato Inspiration Event will be held on Thursday, February 6th 2014 at the Ellington Hotel in Berlin, in the same week in which the trade fair Fruit Logistica takes place.
