Fennebresque & Co. advises RTI International in the sale of its Center for Agricultural and Environmental Biosolutions to FMC Corporation

Charlotte, North Carolina, USA
October 6, 2013

Fennebresque & Co. has announced that RTI International’s Center for Agricultural and Environmental Biosolutions was acquired by FMC Corporation on September 30, 2013. Based in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, Center for Agricultural and Environmental Biosolutions is a world leading research effort that has developed a discovery platform with a strong focus on endophytic microbes and plant-host interactions. Fennebresque & Co. acted as the exclusive financial advisor to RTI International in this transaction. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“The Fennebresque team has been a joy to work with,” said Michael Kaelin, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of RTI International. “We have complete trust in Fennebresque as our advisor – their ascetic efficiency in winnowing down everything superfluous is critical in science and technology based transactions for an organization like RTI. Fennebresque consistently demonstrates an ability to process complex information and insert it into the proper context and priority of the transaction. They managed the transaction perfectly and maintained control of a  highly complex situation from beginning to end.”
