The SAGT project (Self Adjustable Gravity Table) aims at creating a new generation of gravity separators where market quality requirements are combined with the best available technologies.
SAGT is a ground-breaking project in the seed and grain processing industry joining the specific core competencies of the companies involved. The funding by the European Commission is a sign of acknowledgement to the innovative and unique idea presented with this project.
To make such a comprehensive project a reality as well as a success, a team of specialists is a necessity; hence collaboration between Westrup (Denmark), Videometer (Denmark), and Chalmers University (Sweden) has been established.
“The scope of the project is to set new standards for gravity sorting. The aim is to develop new technology where monitoring and automation make tasks more transparent for the operator.” - Bjørn Jensen Agronomist PhD, R&D Coordinator.
Combining market leading seed and grain processing technology with research-intensive high-performance optical systems, the SAGT project is on its way to a successful realization.
In order to obtain the optimum fusion of research and practical perfection, Westrup and Videometer have teamed up with Chalmers University - a research institute with recognized excellence in the fields of mechanical design, vibration, and flow dynamics.
