John Rocconi joins Golden Acres Genetics as Product Manager

Golden Acres Genetics is pleased John Rocconi has been named Product Manager and will assume his position today, July 8.
His responsibilities will include implementation of product evaluation trials, characterization and evaluation of agronomic practices and inputs, and oversight of sales-related technical activities. Rocconi will also serve as liaison with Golden Acres sales professionals and customers, providing agronomic expertise in product evaluations, performance issues, and production planning.
Rocconi was most recently the Site Responsible Researcher/Head Agronomist at the Monsanto Winterfield, Mississippi field research location. Before that, he worked as a graduate student for Texas A&M University in College Station where he worked in crop physiology, plant disease diagnostics, land management and fungal analytics. Rocconi will complete a Master’s of Science degree in Agronomy with Texas A&M University this month.
“John is very familiar with all crops grown in the Golden Acres market footprint,” said Golden Acres President Lou Buice. “He will provide the agronomic support our sales team, resellers, and customers need to ensure success both now and in the future.”
Rocconi and his wife Robin have one daughter. They are all looking forward to relocation in central Texas as soon as possible.
