UC Davis European Plant Breeding Academy graduates the second class

Last week, the UC Davis European Plant Breeding Academy graduated the second class at a session in Davis, California. During the last two years, six sessions were held in Gent, Belgium; Angers, France; Gatersleben, Germany; Enkhuizen, The Netherlands; Barcelona, Spain and UC Davis. Nineteen participants in this class spent more than 300 hours in classes, workshops and the field, training towards the Plant Breeding Academy certificate.

The Plant Breeding Academy is a premium professional certificate program currently offered in the USA, Europe and Asia. Seven classes offered worldwide since 2006 were attended by 114 breeders from 26 countries, making the UC Davis Plant Breeding Academy the most recognized program of its kind.

The next class of the European Plant Breeding Academy starts in October 2013. Registration is still open for a few remaining spots in the class.
