Westrup's laboratory equipment for optimal processes

Slagelse, Denmark
February 15, 2013

In our fully equipped laboratory with our own manufactured laboratory machines, tests can be carried out on behalf of customers – or in cooperation with a customer.

The laboratory is equipped with small scale machines, which have the same functionality as a full scale unit. From these tests it is possible to see how the seed and grain will react when it is processed by a full-scale conditioning plant, which ensures correct selection of equipment and accessories.

In order to carry out a test, a sample of 1–5 kg of the raw material will be needed.

Our in-house laboratory is also used in connection with customer staff training for optimum utilisation of their own equipment as the best results are achieved with “hands on” training or as “learning by doing”.

We are constantly in close contact with our customers and we always strive to improve existing equipment and processes to meet the requirements of the end user. Our laboratory is in this respect contributing great value to our research and development work with analyses of machinery and processes for future development.

“By performing a thorough laboratory test, for seed as well as for grain varieties, we can obtain a detailed analysis of the specific product. The main purpose of the laboratory test is first of all to find the best suited machine for the specific product, but also to select the most suitable screens, mantles, and decks, in order to match the cleaning process requirements.” - Jan Straby, Senior Sales Support.
