In December of 2011, Brian Burney, CEO and President of Oliver Manufacturing in Rocky Ford, Colorado, was asked to participate in Governor Hickenlooper's Colorado Blueprint steering committee meetings out of which CAMA formed.
Shortly after, Joe Pentlicki, COO and Treasurer joined Brian in his efforts to support the formations of CAMA. Both Brian and Joe saw opportunity to be involved in a collaborative industry effort, led by industry.
Brian notes Oliver's strong community-minded perspective and how it influenced his decision to be a major force in CAMA,
"In our case it's the "manufacturing" industry. Our goal is to assist in strengthening Colorado as an innovative, manufacturer friendly State. In doing so, our business will have opportunity to grow with other manufactures in the State."
Additionally, Oliver's family business understands the importance of quality of life for their most important asset: their people.
"Through collaborative efforts we would like to lift up our manufacturing neighbors in South Eastern Colorado. We also want to insure that statewide all stakeholders from City and State Government, School Districts, Regional Community Colleges and Economic Development is engaged and aware of the opportunity manufacturing represents from an economic impact standpoint. CAMA is the organization that all manufactures in Colorado need to be involved with."
As a manufacturer of highly efficient, low maintenance gravity separators, destoners, size separators, fluidized bed dryers, and more.
All along, Oliver has combined durability and efficiency with technological advancements. Like the 1951 multiple-fan design that tripled capacity. And today's Voyager and Maxi-Cap Platinum, the first fully automated, fully integrated gravity separators. For over 80 years, Oliver has led the way with products for the seed, nut, coffee, recycling, lumber, and mining industries.
