SGS seed technologist Sarah Dammen appointed to the International Seed Testing Association Germination Committee

SGS Brookings Seed Testing Laboratory is proud to announce that Sarah Dammen has recently been notified of her membership to the International Seed Testing Association (ISTA) Germination Committee effective June 19, 2013. Membership requires application and approval from ISTA’s Germination and Executive Committees.
ISTA’s Germination Committee seeks to create and improve seed testing rules and methods and to share knowledge in order to facilitate exchange and standardization. The committee recently produced a new handbook for seedling evaluation and is made up of 14 members from across the globe.
Michelle Robbins, Seed Operations Manager, is pleased with this appointment and expects Sarah to contribute immediately, “Sarah has 14 years of experience in seed testing, is a Registered Seed Technologist, and as a laboratory manager has familiarity with hundreds of species. We look forward to her involvement in this committee, and hope that her years with a global seed testing organization will benefit both the committee and the seed sector.
