AgVenture Spangler Seed continues to confirm its growth and commitment toward growers’ profitability across the state of Wisconsin. This week, the company announced the addition of a new Maximum Profit Specialist, Shawn Utech of Merrill to serve customers in the north central region of the state.
AgVenture Spangler Sales Manager Art Tessmann said, ―The bottom line is yield, and we’re so committed to it, we dedicate staff as Maximum Profit Specialists to follow customers’ crop development from the first phases of planning, through meticulous planting procedures, and season-long in-field support. That’s how we are able to achieve these unprecedented yields. The Spangler family brings generations of experience and understanding of Wisconsin’s agronomic environment and the AgVenture® brand seed products, selected and adapted for Wisconsin are proving their performance.
He added, ―Shawn is just the man for this job. He is a true farmer and an ag professional who will readily dedicate his time and expertise to growers in the field, assuring their success on every acre.
AgVenture, Inc. Business Development Manager, Chuck Schneider stated, ―Our Maximum Profit System (MPS) is effective. We have growers across Wisconsin advancing their Actual Production Histories (APH) by 20-30 percent through their focused participation in our MPS system. Shawn understands Wisconsin farming and what it takes to bring more profitability to an operation’s bottom line.
Utech has been in agribusiness sales for the past eight years. Most recently, he served as a regional sales representative for a wholesale agricultural company. A native of Merrill, Utech lives and works on his family’s dairy and crop operation. He said, ―As a farmer myself, I’m so impressed with what AgVenture offers. It’s a fresh and unique approach to seed and to farming that is directly connected with a farmer’s entire farming operation and focused on their profitability. Their ability to match seed selections directly with soil types – sometimes opting for multiple hybrids within a given field – is proof of the specific level of expertise they bring to a grower.
For more than 70 years, the Spangler family has been closely tied to growers’ success and genetic improvements in seed crops for Wisconsin. Through their alliance with AgVenture, the company has vastly expanded their access to seed genetics and technologies best adapted to Wisconsin soil types and farming operations.
AgVenture Spangler Seed President, John Spangler said, ―Our connection with local growers and our ability to service their fields throughout the growing season makes our customers more profitable. In turn, we become both stronger as a company and as farmers.
