New seeds, state of the U.S. and global seed industry to be highlighted
Nearly 900 attendees from the U.S. and over 20 countries are expected at this year’s Vegetable & Flower Seed Conference from January 26th-29th in Scottsdale, Arizona, said American Seed Trade Association (ASTA) president and CEO, Andrew W. LaVigne, today.
“This is an exciting show for seed industry representatives who are anxious to purchase new varieties of vegetable, fruit and flower seed and to learn about new technologies, seed treatments and breeding techniques,” said LaVigne.
“International participation has increased significantly again this year; we’re hosting a large delegation of Chinese vegetable seed company representatives as a result of the MOU we signed with the China National Seed Association in Chicago in early December to promote innovation and cooperation.”
The fastest growing of all ASTA events, the Conference features a large trading room for seed and equipment exhibitors and a full slate of industry, academic and government leaders who will be speaking on critical seed industry issues.
