In an industry where quality and experience are central forces in order to deliver processing solutions of the highest quality, the skills of the employees are in constant focus. Westrup is continuously seeking ways to improve the knowledge of the employees in order to develop the technology and deliver customized solutions meeting the specific requirements of customers worldwide.

The success of the methods applied can be seen in technical competitions where apprentices from Westrup are competing against apprentices from other companies. Within the past year, Westrup has had the pleasure of honouring two apprentices for their victories in such contests and now we can add another apprentice, Tim Bo Quist, to the list of highly skilled apprentices going through the workshop of Westrup as Tim has recently distinguished himself with a 3rd place in a regional competition.

As a result of the multiple awards, combined with the continuous establishment of new apprentice positions in the factory, Westrup has been awarded “The Apprenticeship of the year”, by the technical college Selandia CEU. In connection with the award, Tim Quist expresses, “I enjoy the working environment at Westrup with great colleagues. The quality standard is high and I need to perform the outmost every day. Throughout my apprentice period I have had the opportunity to experience different departments, giving me a deeper knowledge of the factory workmanship”.
