Jefferson, Wisconsin’s independent seed company AgVenture Spangler Seed has today announced they’ve hired seed sales professional Art Tessmann of Watertown, Wisconsin as Sales Manager. AgVenture Spangler Seed President, John Spangler said, ―Leadership is a critical skill in effectively operating a business. Art brings a well-rounded set of experiences and skills to our sales team and to our company. We’re confident that through his leadership, AgVenture Spangler will advance our efforts to improve our customers’ profitability on every acre.

Tessmann comes to AgVenture Spangler from Jung Seed Genetics where he served as district sales manager. In this new role, Tessmann will lead the company’s sales efforts across the state of Wisconsin. Tessmann said, ―Our sales team is truly working for our customers and their profitability. I’m looking forward to helping implement AgVenture Spangler products and programs with the sales team in Wisconsin.

From 1988-2002, Tessmann was president and co-owner of Tessmann, Inc., a family owned and operated farm enterprise involving a beef cow/calf herd, a beef feed yard, sows and finished hogs along with a cropping operation. Very active in his local community, Tessmann is a director and past president for the Watertown Agri-business Association and has been involved in career and leadership development programs. He is a member of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau. Tessmann attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He and his wife, Marcy have two daughters.
