Bernardo Nogueira, Vice-President SGS Agricultural Services, has recently announced a change in Seed Operations Management at SGS Brookings.
SGS Brookings, formerly Mid-West Seed Services, Inc. (MWSS), has been preparing for an eventual leadership change for the last 24 months. One of our steps for a successful transition was the formation of a seed management team. Tim Gutormson, former SGS Seed Director, helped create and lead the group of key long-term employees, who became overseers of day-to-day operations in recent years. Another important move was the hiring of two national representatives who serve as key client contacts in the field and at industry functions.
Tim has recently left employment with SGS to pursue other personal interests; SGS truly values all his contributions to the Group and wishes him the best in his future endeavours. Michelle Robbins has been selected as Seed Operations Manager. Michelle has worked for MWSS, then SGS, for nearly ten years in a variety of managerial roles and has several years of formal agricultural leadership training and education experience. Michelle believes in the team, “Our seed management group is comprised of eight team captains who earned ten degrees, hold five seed certifications, and have more than 100 years of seed testing experience between them. Not only did Tim hire and train each one of us, he also served as teacher and professional mentor.”
Bernardo assures clients the transition will be seamless, and SGS Brookings staff will continue to deliver the same level of service they have always strived for “I am confident the current management group will continue to excel in serving the seed industry.”
SGS Brookings, prides itself on accurate, diagnostic, same-day service with real-time results.
