AgVenture Frontier Hybrids, an independent seed company based in Abernathy, Texas, today announced it has hired Michael Jenkins of Amarillo, TX to serve the company’s customers as District Sales Manager. Mr. Jenkins brings more than eighteen years of professional agriculture service and sales experience to the team. He will focus his efforts on working with customers in the Texas Panhandle.
Trent Ryan, President of AgVenture Frontier Hybrids said, “We were very particular in selecting the right person, and Michael is truly the best man for the job. He is very well respected by the customers he’s worked with over the years. His integrity and dedication to providing customers with outstanding service will greatly benefit his growers’ profit-potential as he introduces the AgVenture® brand to and through this area.”
Jenkins has spent the past decade working for Elanco Animal Health. He said, “Much of my past career was dedicated to working with cattlemen, where we value the access to superior genetics. AgVenture Frontier has outstanding access to the best and even the newest seed genetics and technologies on the market. I look forward to working with customers to help them maximize their profit on every acre.”
A native of Canyon and graduate of West Texas A & M University, Jenkins and his wife, Ginger, reside in Amarillo.
Frontier Hybrids just joined AgVenture in March, 2009 and offers AgVenture brand corn and alfalfa seed products. The company also sells sorghum, hay grazers and native prairie grasses. Ryan explained, “We brought our traditions and strong customer-focused style to the table. AgVenture offered us greater access to seed hybrids and varieties adapted to our TX, OK, Western Kansas and NM seed customers. As AgVenture Frontier Hybrids, we’ve brought this region a whole new, strong and adapted set of seed genetics and technologies. Feedback from our customers has really been great. They are realizing the benefits of that access, the product diversity and regionally adapted products in both product performance and in profitability.”
AgVenture, Inc. VP Sales and Marketing Jim Groepper agreed. “AgVenture Frontier Hybrids is gearing up to offer growers access beyond our genetics. As we approach the 2010 growing season, we’ll be introducing the region’s grower to our Maximum Profit System (MPS). Across the country, growers participating in MPS are significantly improving their productivity, lowering cost per bushel and improving overall profitability across their entire operations.” Ryan added, “We are confident in the products and confident in this practical approach to dramatic yield improvements. We look forward to sharing details of the program with our customers.”
